About CivHub
CivHub is an open-source civic platform building public trust through data legibility, participatory design, and digital tools for democratic life.
Our Mission
We believe you can’t participate in what you can’t understand, and that public data is a public good. Our work starts with the premise that civic comprehension is a design problem—and we’re building tools to solve it.
What We’ve Built
- 🧾 Policy Receipts: AI-generated summaries of what legislation actually does, with links to real sources.
- 📊 Civic Insights: Data-backed snapshots of housing, labor, infrastructure, and governance systems.
- 📝 Ledger Notes: Commentary on civic tech, systems design, and policy transparency.
- 📚 Civic Protocol Registry: A public directory of modular, remixable governance processes—from participatory budgeting to citizens’ assemblies.
Where We’re Going
CivHub is evolving into a civic operating system: a stack of open tools to help communities make sense of their governments and reshape them. Coming next:
- Interactive protocol builders and remix tools
- Version-controlled protocol registry with API access
- Public simulation sandboxes for policy experimentation
- Legibility layers for budgets, infrastructure, and public data systems
